Supervisor, Soil Testing - Agricultural Analytical Services Lab
We recently purchased two automated pH instruments (AS-3000) for our soil testing lab from Labfit Pty Ltd. One in February 2001 and the other in October 2001. We have been very satisfied with their performance and results.
As with new instrumentation, there was some fine tuning with the setup and software. Labfit personnel have twice visited on site, to setup each new instrument. Labfit has done a terrific job in keeping in contact with us to help us with our problems, concerns and troubleshooting. Their technical support is prompt and detailed, even though they are literally halfway around the world. They have positively used our suggestions and needs to upgrade their software package and to deliver it quickly for us to use.
We continue using our new automated pH machines. They have enabled us to get through our “busy season” smoothly and efficiently. We look forward to many years of use with minimal servicing and repair.Corey Williams
Manager – Environmental Division - SGS Australia
SGS Australia has 2 AS-3200 acid base titration systems. The first one was purchased in July 2002 and we have been very pleased with its operation. The system is accurate with our operator being able to perform other tasks once the titration is started. The system is robust with very little downtime and we have been very happy with the support that Labfit has given us. Accuracy and efficiency has been enhanced since the commissioning of these systems and we have been able to integrate successfully with our LIMS system gathering and transferring data. Since its installation we purchased an extra titration system in March 2006 to cope with our sample volume.
I can say I have been very pleased with both systems to date.Pieter J Erasmus Pr.Sci.Nat.
Laboratory Superintendent - Anglo Coal Central Laboratory
The CS 2000 carbon and sulphur analyzer that was purchased from Labfit – Australia, during December 2001, has exceeded our expectations to date. This instrument is very user friendly and handles the workload consistently without any operational problems since its installation.
Our own staff is maintaining the instrument and they found this instrument to be very easy maintained. The cleaning of the carrier gas tubes and transfer point is easily accessible. We have photographed these whenever it has been cleaned for future reference and comparison.
To date no maintenance costs were incurred at all. With the laboratory being situated in town, we have experienced many a power failure on our incoming supplies that have impacted on the running cost of our Sulphur analyzers. However, this does not influence the CS 2000. This was part of the reason why we decided to purchase one of these analyzers. The running cost is thus far also lower because of the savings achieved on consumables i.e. sample crucibles, as these can be reused for longer periods that that used in other makes. This I contribute to the difference in the design as the CS 2000 auto-sampler does not drop the crucibles, thus damaging them.
The standard auto-loader of this instrument has also worked without any defects since installation. It is very easy to handle and the design prevents crucibles from sliding out of the sample tray. This is very helpful especially if the analyst is under pressure to perform work in different work environments.
All in all, I can gladly recommend this instrument to any one who wants to analyze solid samples for sulphur content. The ranges of sulphur that we analyze ranges from 0.001% to 38- 39% which places an extreme demand on most makes of sulphur analyzers. The CS 2000 has passed the test thus far with flying colors.
Please congratulate the supplier for designing an instrument will capture a significant portion of the Sulphur and Carbon analysis market.Ian Gilmore

Quality products are a key resource in meeting our clients’ needs and its imperative that we partner with suppliers that share our viewpoint. I was first introduced to Labfit over 10 years ago and from the outset was impressed by their level of service and attention to detail. They immediately made me feel comfortable and valued, and to this day I haven’t had reason to say otherwise. Their management team is very knowledgeable and always happy to assist with any enquiries I may have, and response turn-around is very timely.
On the product front, the quality is a reflection of their customer service. I have extensive personal experience with the Carbon and Sulphur Analyser and I have been thoroughly impressed with the reliability and accuracy in operation. What I like about the design is that it’s solid and rarely off- line and allows for trouble-free access to components. Training my staff on the operation is effortless thanks to the user-friendliness of the software and physical functionality.
From a return on investment perspective, the CS Analyser is a cost effective method in our automation process, with ongoing costs lower than competitors previously used. Based on this, we have secured 2 units to date.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Labfit on their abilities to deliver an exceptional customer experience and I welcome the continued business for the future.Bill Wangelo

I have seen several changes in the priorities in agricultural research. However, one thing that has been constant is the need for high quality, cost efficient instrumentation. I have an automated pH/conductivity instrument manufactured by Labfit. Their instrument has been very dependable. I have recommended them to other laboratories in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Brookside Laboratory Inc. has 3 AS 3000 dual probe pH systems. We were very pleased with the results of this system and have purchased 2 more. Accuracy and efficiency have been enhanced since introducing these systems. We have them tied into our in- house LIMS system and we efficiently gather and transfer data.

The CS2000 Carbon and Sulphur Analysers are built and engineered to be simplistic in design though providing extremely good availability and accuracy. With a remote location such as Porgera, it is extremely important the analysers can be maintained by site personnel. Labfit is prepared to listen to any concerns raised by its clients and to address the concerns immediately.

Laboratory Superintendent
The CS2000’s Carbon Sulphur analysers have been running for some 15 years with very little to no downtime and providing fast accurate results every day. Maintenance of the CS2000 is simplified enabling us to get our instrument back online much faster than other makes we have had in the past. The way samples are loaded and unloaded into the furnace makes the autosampler/loading system much more reliable than other brands. Being a remote location, it is vital to us that we have reliable instrumentation that functions greater than 95% of the time as parts can take a while to reach site.
